As a teenager in the 90s, I was so excited to hear classic artists still going strong and making an appearance in the UK. Silk, Kut Klose and Pam from Total did not disappoint. The Indigo2 (my first visit to this particular venue) was perfect for this night - intimate but with a club feel. Silk performed all their hits and kept the crowd entertained with their vocals and onstage antics! A certain tongue action getting the crowd hyped on their best known hit 'Freak Me'. Those who were there know what I'm talking about! My favourite track of Silk's is 'In My Bedroom' again performed to my complete satisfaction. They were on stage for a decent amount of time not the 15 minutes that the UK audience have come to expect from some US acts! Although it would have been nice to see the entire group, Pam performed most of Total's hits with much of the crowd singing along. Took me back to the good old days of Bad Boy when they were running the hip hop and r 'n'b scene. Her new solo tracks that she performed were quite good as well and she surprised me with her vocal ability especially since Total were known as good hit makers and not good singers, practically the industry-standard these days! I was disappointed that she didn't perform my favourite Total tune 'No-one Else' but I can't fault the energy she had on the stage. Kut Klose almost didn't make it due to a traffic accident on the way back from the soundcheck, however they appeared and sang their well known hits 'I Like' 'Nobody' and 'Get Up On It'. These girls can sing and were a delight to hear! What was great to see, is that despite it been 10 - 15 years later, all acts looked great and sang just as well - real talent was in the building! With 'keeping it real' host Phoebe One and wicked 90's tracks played throughout the night in between acts, a brilliant night was had by all! I drove home to North London singing old skool tunes for the rest of the night. Also, it was nice to see a few couples in the place too - it being a Valentines Special and all. So glad I won the competition. The 90s and Shoobs (of course), I salute you!
