    The service is completely free and we pay you the full face value of the ticket. To cover our admin costs, we add a small booking fee on top of the face value of the ticket, so we don’t eat into your profit!

FAQs

  • How do I sell tickets?

    Sell tickets from your very own promoter public page! Simply register for a promoter’s account and follow the simple steps.

  • It says my account needs to be verified, why?

    Shoobs performs a very quick check of your information and if all is cool, we will have your account set up within 24 hours of registration.

  • Why does my venue need to be verified?

    So that our event lovers are attending legit places, we check that all venue details are correct. This will take no more than 24 hours.

  • My account has been verified, but it is not active?

    Oh, I know why… You need to publish the event! Go to the relevant event, and you will see a big pink “publish” button on the right-hand side, give that a hit and your event is active!

  • How much does it cost to sell tickets?

    Free! Free! Free!

    Shoobs adds a very small booking fee on top of the face value of the ticket. We pay you the full face value of the ticket within 7 days after the event.

  • How do I access my ticket sales/guest list?

    You can view your ticket sales list in your dashboard area, which can be exported into an excel file. Only export your ticket sales list when you have decided to stop accepting sales from our event lovers.

  • How do I close tickets sales?

    When you export your ticket sales list this will automatically close your event and event lovers are no longer able to purchase tickets.

  • How do I cancel an event?

    Find your event in your dashboard area and select cancel. You will need to confirm a reason for this cancellation which will be sent to all ticket purchasers.

  • How do I add media files to my page?

    To upload a picture, simply select browse to find the relevant pictures on your computer. We only accept JPEG, PNG or GIF files.

    To upload a video, simply copy and paste the video URL from YouTube or Vimeo only (we do not currently support other sites). If you need help creating a video on these sites, please have a look at YouTube uploading help or the Vimeo help center.

    To upload audio, simply copy and paste the audio URL from Mixcloud (we do not currenty support other sites). If you need help creating audio on mixcloud, please have a look at the Mixcloud FAQ.

  • Can I have different ticket types?

    Yes, when creating your event in your dashboard area, you can select multiple ticket types with different prices etc. i.e. early bird, VIP, standard.

  • Can I have my followers’ contact details?

    Yes, provided that your followers allow for their contact details to be passed to you.

    You can see a list of followers that have granted this permission in your “followers” section in your dashboard. Here, you can view the list and export it for email marketing purposes. Please read our Terms of use to ensure that you are using this information correctly.

  • Can I access real time statistics about my events?

    We love numbers too! In your main dashboard area you can see a quick overview of your event sales. We even show you the male vs. female split and the age range of the ticket purchasers! If you want to see stats details for a specific event, simply select the relevant event in your dashboard and view the stats.
