International Women's Day event, celebrating women and their achievement. Proceeds of the event will be donated to Berkshire Women's Aid, a women's refuge in Reading that do a fantastic job of supporting women who have escaped abusive relationships. Her Rightful Mayor of Reading Sarah Hacker will be main speaker at The Curzon Club.
The event commences with a fashion show by a young and talented designer of Ghanaian extraction, PK-UNIKUE with models to include winner of Top Model of Colour 2015 Aramatou Toure, Gift Nyakuta, Sasha Davina and others. Performances by Jean Paul Samputu, a peace activist, humanitarian, singer/songwriter and winner of KORA AWARD, supporting acts include Martini Russa, a Jazz and blues duo. There will be street dancing, poetry, food by local caterers, a DJ, fully staffed bar.
