Description

It’s the LAST WAHALAA OF 2019 so it is only right that we close out di ting with a proper winter tunup.

This time we’re back at The Jago in Dalston but we’re taking over the whole place - with many of our favourite DJs who’ve mashed up the last couple parties as well as some new friends to add some extra pepper to the stew 🌶️🌶️🌶️ The downstairs room will be the main space where you’ll find the high level gbedu and up tempo riddims with live percussion alongside our DJs, and we’ll also have the upstairs bar as a dance spot where you can catch a breather but also a vibe.

Turn Up Room (with percussion from Pivotal the wizard)
Sippin’ T (BBZ) - Base chakra riddims
Dibs (ANIM Sessions) - Afrobeats & other treats
TrYb (Batty Mama) - From dancehall to afrobeats to baile funk
Blasé Vanguard (More Time) - Soca Warrior
Tele OG (Wahalaa) - Deep afrobeats rhythms & kénkélé beats

Upstairs Shubz
Rae Dee (Nike London) - Straight bangers
Tshaka Ballantyne (Wahalaa) - Groovy soca, dancehall, afrobeats, lil uzi
rare treat (AfroTherapy) - Future soul & African spirit
Louis Quaye - Alté, afrobeats, reggae - chill and wavey
Jimmy878 - R&B deep cuts & forgotten classics

Tickets & Entry
- Advance tickets in Steps: £5, 6, 7, 8 / tickets on the door: £10 before midnight, £12 after. Last entry 2.30am.
- Please get in touch if you are low on funds but would still like to attend.
- If you want to come but have no one to go with we don't want that to be a barrier. A group of the No Wahalaa Fam will be ready to meet and greet any solo guests in the upstairs bar - between 10-11.30 - so come then for a warm welcome! You’ll spot them in glow necklaces

Venue
The Jago is the historic Passing Clouds building under new ownership and management. It has a big main room with a stage and a fun vibe, a beautiful refurbished upstairs bar with seating and a second dance floor, and an outside smoking area. The main room is accessible on the ground floor and there are gender neutral toilets. Cloakroom: £1.

The Jago is 5 minutes walk from Dalston Junction and Haggerston 24-hour overground stations.
