AFTER SUCCESSFUL SCREENINGS OF BOTH 'IF ONLY' AND 'SOME THINGS' , (both written and directed by award winning writer,director and actor Fredi 'KRUGA' Nwaka) we return back to the prestigious BAFTA, Piccadilly for yet another night of screenings and debate.

Both films tackle topics which affect our community and on this night we will not only watch these films but also debate and discuss how these topics are perceived in our communities, what is being done about these issues and how you can help. We have invited a host of celebrities and special guests to join in on the debate and support the night.

There will also be performances from singer song writer FIDEL and spoken word from FARIDA as well as a book signing by CHRIS TUCK ( Author of Through The Eyes Of A Child).

Synopsis:

The world can be a cruel place and inner city London is no exception. When an innocent young girl becomes caught up in a world of abuse and emotional blackmail her life quickly spirals out of control.

Synopsis.

Gang violence in inner city London has spiralled out of control over the last several years with many teens losing their lives.. Based on true events ‘IF ONLY’ tells the story of a young man and how a wrong choice can have a life changing effect on everyone around him. After a violent altercation with a rival gangs members girl friend what starts off as just proving a point for local ‘bad boy’ Tyrone ends up in a deadly finale.

We all have choices…… but some choices are made for us.

Fredi ‘ KRUGA’ Nwaka has been involved in the entertainment industry and making short films with young people all over London for many years through his non-profit organisation C.R.I.M.E ( Creating Role Models In Media Enterprise)

Before working with young people, Fredi himself was involved in gangs which has seen him loose over 40 friends and associates to date through violent crime. He decided enough is enough and decided to set up C.R.I.M.E which helps ex offenders, young people trying to exit gangs and young people who would like to pursue a life in film/drama while steering them away from youth violence and gang culture.

Fredi has worked along side seasoned actors such as Danny Dyer, Ashley Walters,Bob Hoskins,Brenda Blethyn, Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson, Chucky Venn, Tammer Hussein, Rick Myal just to name a few and has a passion for being both behind and in front of the camera.
