Teddy Bears Picnic - Cholmondeley Castle 2014

On Sunday August 24th 2014 we will once again be hosting a fantastic family-friendly event – a traditional Teddy Bear’s Picnic, hosted at Cholmondeley Castle on the outskirts of Nantwich in Cheshire.

A small group of volunteers in Nantwich organise this event every year and nominate a different charity each year. We all work full time and this is our way of giving something back to the community. If you need to contact us please call Victoria or Lauren on 01270 626330.

Last years event was such a success raising nearly £5K for our nominated charity and over 1500 people in attendance!

This year our nominated charity is Stick 'n' Step who help children with Cerebral Palsy. The event will see local families descend upon the Cholmondeley estate with their favourite furry friends in tow, ready to enjoy the Teddy-themed activities on offer in a beautiful rural setting. The Teddy Bear’s Picnic will open at 11am on 24th August 2014, running until 5pm.

Planned activities will include a Teddy Bear hunt with treasure maps and prizes included, a Punch & Judy show, story corner, arts & craft area, hook a duck, face-painting, tombola and much more!

Event tickets will include general admission to the grounds, so the whole family can also take advantage of Cholmondeley’s extensive facilities – including a children's play area, picnic site, farm animals (llamas and African pygmy goats included!) , and an aviary with many varieties of birds. The popular tea-room will sell a large variety of home-cooked treats for the whole family to enjoy!
