After the shocking news of the death of Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest we have decided to throw a special Tribe edition of History of Hip-Hop with profits going to Diabetes UK.

On Friday 6th November 2015 The Doctor’s Orders were honoured to host Phife Dawg at The Jazz Café for what we were not to know was to be his last ever London show. Always an imaculate performer he wowed the crowd with classics from his catalogue with Tribe as well as solo material that was due for release this year. This was not the first time Phife had played for our dedicated Hip-Hop heads. In November 2011 we were humbled to play a small part in the legacy of such a legendary group when we premiered A Tribe Called Quest documentary ‘Beats Rhymes & Life’ followed by a live show from Phife.

For this special party six of London’s best DJs pay tribute to the MC and group that have influenced them all. The usual mix of classic and brand new bangers will be spiced with a couple of hours dedicated to the classics of greatest Hip-Hop group of all time.
