Stand up comedy at the London authentic, award-winning, modern Mediterranean restaurant. It is just a short walk from Hammersmith tube station and the Apollo, a popular destination of celebrities, frequently visited by stars, such as: Alan Sugar, Adrian Charles, Bill Baily and Olly Murs.
Comedy night starts at 7:30pm and finishes at the latest 10:15pm, this is another one of our shows for the Edinburgh previews season and features some of the finest comedy talent. This show will focus on the talents of Ian Lane and Robyn Perkins.
Robyn Perkins is an American comedienne has been bringing her 'engaging persona' (Steve Bennett, Chortle) to comedy clubs around the UK and US since 2011. She MCs frequently, including a weekly professional standup night in Battersea - Laugh Train Home - and is a witty, chatty opening and middle act for clubs around the country.
In 2015, Robyn was part of AAA at The Pleasance in Edinburgh, having been a finalist in several prestigious comedy competitions, including English Comedian of the Year in 2014. Here is a clip of Robyn in action:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpoZsjCa1f0.
Ian Lane is a performer once described by Broadway Baby as both “sharp” and “likeable enough”, Ian is on a mission to capitalise on this potent combination of wit and criteria-meeting affability with a set that draws upon absurdist autobiography, obtuse one-liners and Post-It note poems, all delivered in a manner once described as "like an evil Joel Dommett" (Luke Benson).
A London-based comic, he has reached the final of the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian Of The Year competition, been broadcast on BBC Radio 2 as part of the semi-finals of the BBC Radio New Comedy Award, won/survived numerous gong shows ('King Gong; Beat The Frog; Up The Creek's The Blackout), and performed in the main hall at The Barbican as part of a comedy event that was streamed worldwide.
Promoters and clubs that he has gigged for and/or is currently booked for include XS Malarkey (paid 15s), Pulp Comedy (opening 20s), Downstairs At The King's Head (Sundays), Glee Club (Birmingham and Cardiff), Hot Water (weekend middle 15s), Komedia Brighton (Comic Boom), Mirth Control, Crack Comedy, Backyard Comedy Club, Joke Club and Comedy Cafe.
