Afro Dance Championships

The Afro Dance Championship’s is Europe’s first dance competition dedicated to the Afro dance community. For years viral dance groups have played a big part in promoting the Afrobeats culture, through the continuous engaging user generated content. This was a strategy used heavily by Fuse ODG when promoting global hit Antenna featuring Wyclef Jean.

Moving Forward popular Afro Dance group HomeBros, consisting of Unkle TC & Kurtis Swift have teamed up with UK Afrobeats pioneer & MOBO Nominee Mista Silva to bring you this innovative dance competition. To give this event an authentic touch Mista Silva has teamed up with HomeBros, Debrah Rose, DJ Scyther and tastemaker MB to create a hit song ‘Mafia’ along with a dance routine.

Making this competition more interesting, we’re looking for dancers to fill 3 categories. This including the following;
Solo (1 person)
Duos (2 people)
Groups (4 people max)

To get involved in this EPIC event, please see steps below;

Submit a 15 - 30 second video on either Twitter or Instagram, doing the ‘Mafia’ dance routine.
When posting, hashtag #ADC2016 & #ADCSolo #ADCDuo #ADCGroups (Whatever category you wish to enter).
Your video will then be reviewed by our specialist dance team & the final candidates for each category will be released 15th May via the ADC Facebook account.
You’ll then be assigned team leaders to help you develop your moves for the big day.
