Come and taste what the “Swartland Revolution” is all about! Previously wheat country, the Swartland has recently found favour as the newest and “funkiest” terroir of South Africa. Blessed with unique soil types, beautiful weather and home to the newest rockstar winemakers, come and taste brilliant and inventive styles of winemaking.
Art, wine, performance and live jazz in one seamless evening.
Join us at House of Sisters Grimm, London’s newest cultural destination, for Wine Wednesdays: a unique midweek experience bringing together a guided South African wine tasting, the Grammy-nominated live performance INALA, and a live Afro Jazz after-show, all under one roof!
Arrive on the red carpet and step into a glamorous multimedia art gallery and iGOLI, London’s only exclusively South African fine wine bar, before beginning an evening that moves from taste, to performance, to live music.
Each Wine Wednesday is hosted by the producer of INALA and centred around a unique theme, including Cap Classique Masterclass, Pinotage Masterclass and Swartland Style. Designed for both curious newcomers and seasoned wine lovers, these specially curated evenings offer an accessible and engaging way into the world of South African fine wine, alongside stories of passion, heritage and family.
On the 24th June, join us for an exploration of South Africa’s Swartland wines! Nicknamed after the Rhino Bush that turns black after the rain, the “Black Land” is renowned for wines that are textured, layered and a fresh take on the wonderful South African wine making styles.
You can enjoy the wine tasting as a standalone experience, or you can upgrade it by continuing with Grammy-nominated INALA, the joyous, soul-stirring Zulu dance musical co-written by Ella Spira MBE and Joseph Shabalala, the founder of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, followed by a 30-minute live Afro Jazz to garnish your glamorous night.
