Stand up comedy at the London authentic, award-winning, modern Mediterranean restaurant. It is just a short walk from Hammersmith tube station and the Apollo, a popular destination of celebrities, frequently visited by stars, such as: Alan Sugar, Adrian Charles, Bill Baily and Olly Murs.
Comedy night starts at 7:30pm and finishes at the latest 10:15pm, this is another one of our shows for the Edinburgh previews season and features some of the finest comedy talent. This show will focus on the talents of Danielle Ward and Diane Spencer.
Diane Spencer is an hilarious comedian and gifted storyteller, who has performed worldwide to critical acclaim with her unique mix of charming demeanor and edgy stand-up comedy.
Booked to open and close in comedy clubs throughout the UK, Diane Spencer is an exciting, laugh-out-loud and breathtaking act to have on stage. She is a friendly, enthusiastic and joyous compere who creates a warm and inclusive atmosphere, allowing comics on the bill to really shine. She performs regularly for some of the top clubs in the UK, which include:CKP, Covent Garden Comedy Club, Backyard comedy club and Jongleurs. Danielle is a multi award winning stand-up comedian and writer of sell-out Edinburgh Fringe plays ‘Take-A-Break Tales’ and ‘Psister Psycho’ as well as two critically acclaimed solo stand up shows. Her stand-up has won her both the BBC New Comedy Award and the Time Out Best Newcomer Award and prompted critics to liken her quirky and original style to “…a Nick Cave album recited by a cheerful would-be Dorothy Parker.”
One of the few female satirists in British comedy, she can currently be heard on Absolute Radio alongside Dave Gorman every Sunday morning, where she interviews guests such as Paddy Considine, Carter USM and Stewart Lee, as well as delivering her weekly cultural review ‘Ward’s Weekly Word’. She is a regular panelist on Radio 4’s ‘The News Quiz’ and has appeared on ‘Mock the Week’ and BBC 4’s ‘Newswipe with Charlie Brooker’.
