In preparation for Valentine’s Day join us for a night of poetry and a screening of the classic film Brown Sugar. Featuring Sanaa Lathan and Taye Diggs Brown Sugar is a story of two childhood friends and the instrumental role Hip Hop has played throughout their journey.
As the film centres on rhyme and reason, it’s only right to include some of the best poets London has to offer, including Banana Sharma, Kiraya Kawesa, Kush Wilson and John Akinde. Themes on the night include love, relationships, connections and hip hop so expect to hear content on all of the above and more.
The event is being held at London’s first arts hotel Green Rooms. So whether you’re single or taken we would love to see your face!
