Mighty Crown, also known as “The Far East Rulaz,” have journeyed throughout the world showcasing their unique blend of Japanese culture and Reggae Dancehall for over 20 years. Hailing from Yokohama, Japan, the group has broken ethnic barriers and is deemed one of the most distinguished sound systems in Reggae Dancehall. Founded by brothers Masta Simon and Sami T, Mighty Crown solidified their presence in 1999 in New York City when the virtually unknown sound became the champions of Irish and Chin’s infamous World Clash (a coveted competition among Dancehall DJs and sound systems). Rising as the first non-Jamaican sound to win such a title, Mighty Crown rose to fame and under the guidance of managers Irish and Chin, became one of the industry’s most successful and internationally known sound systems. The popular sounds current lineup includes members Masta Simon, Sami, Cojie and Ninja.

Historically, Mighty Crown is documented as the cornerstone of the Dancehall explosion in Japan. Following the World Clash championship, the demand for the group became immense, yielding Mighty Crown the opportunity to don stages throughout the world. Whether clashing industry giants or juggling, Mighty Crown’s performances have been legendary. The epic sound has touched everything from dancehalls and boutique theaters and venues to stadiums in the far corners of the World. Locations throughout the United States, Germany, Switzerland, Jamaica, Italy, France, Canada, Grenada, Barbados, Belize, Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana, Bermuda, Finland, Ireland and China are popular destinations for the sound. Notably, during 2013-2014, Mighty Crown’s International “Driving Force Tour” stopped in over 60 cities, spanning 3 continents
