The Jazz Cafe are delighted to bring you Maiden Voyage, a brand new, intimate festival with a difference. Situated in the unique setting of Three Mills Island in East London, join us on August bank holiday Sunday as we take you on a sonic trip through the extensive sounds of jazz, hip hop, afrobeat and funk, with a handpicked selection of the very best artists in their respective fields. Not your average festival, this one-day event will encompass everything you need for a day out with your friends: one stage, zero fuss, with a carefully curated lineup put together with passion by music lovers, for music lovers. The intimate Stratford setting provides a unique backdrop to enjoy some of the greatest musicians on the globe with like-minded individuals. We truly believe that London deserves a festival that focuses on the experience of the festival-goer. We are proposing a day out with no stress, all landmarks within touching distance, and with only one stage so you don’t need to worry about missing any acts. That is why we’re bringing something affordable with no frills, no stress, all condensed into one small, easy-to-navigate space.
Grab a limited VIP ticket for backstage lounge passes, posh toilets, a private bar, table tennis and a dedicated entrance lane upon entry. Following on from the festival, we are heading on over to Studio 9294 to dance into the night with festival headlines Gilles Peterson, Awesome Tapes From Africa and Nabihah Iqbal.
Just a short 2 minute walk from the picturesque Three Mills site, the Hackney Wick location is the perfect spot to let loose from 10pm until late at the official and only after party.
