BlaQueens at Stour Space in London

Event description

Join Blaque Nation for our FINAL event on Friday 8th March - BlaQueens - an intimate evening of raw, open, honest conversation. Celebrating International Women's Day 2019, we'll be joined by black-owned, female business exhibitors, interactive actives, and a great line-up of speakers hosted by Alicia Latoya.

Speaking on the night:
KIRZART: Mental health and disability
MISS SIA: Motherhood and post-natal depression
SABRINA MUBIRU: Holistic health, well-being, and self-love
BAM BAM BOOGIE: Physical health and fearless female fitness

There will also be interactive workshops and activities, and an after party with DJ Carmen London. In addition, early arrivals will receive free, luxury, vegan chocolates courtesty of Dapaah Chocolates. The venue – Stour Space – is beautifully situated along the canal in Hackney Wick. Stunning views and vibes not to be missed!

1) Is there a cash point?
There is no cash point on site, so we recommend bringing cash along for the business exhibition.
2) Is the venue suitable for disabled use?
Most of the event will take place on the ground floor, where there is also a disabled toilet. However, accessibility is limited to the upper floor where the majority of exhibitors will be stationed.
3) Is there a dress code?
Nope! Come as you are!
4) Can you pay on the door?
Yes. Tickets will be £10 on the door.
5) Do we need ID?
ID is not required for this event.
6) Will there be food and drinks available?
Yes, both are available throughout the duration of the event.
7) Can men attend this event?
Absolutely! Although the talks are shaped around topics related to women, the event is open for everyone to celebrate International Women's Day.

Blaque Nation is a fresh events-based platform existing to unite, support and transform the Black British community. We work to provide healthy exposure for black-owned companies and spaces for audiences to digest and engage with what’s on offer. The purpose of this event is to provide a safe space for some serious girl talk! Women will be able to share their experiences without judgement and learn from one another.
