There have been few MCs as prolific or talented as Brooklyn lyricist Talib Kweli. Having come to the fore during the explosion of indie Hip-Hop artists on Rawkus Records in the mid to late 90’s, as one half of both Black Star alongside Mos Def and Reflection Eternal alongside producer Hi-Tek, he has gone on to a solo career that has seen him record some of Hip-Hop’s most thought provoking and lyrically skilled tracks.

Having worked with many of the best producers in the game, including Kanye West, DJ Premier, Marco Polo and Statik Selektah to name a few he is a favourite of true Hip-Hop fans he has the rare talent of combining dance-floor friendly anthems with lyrical dexterity. So much so he was name checked by Jay-Z on his ‘Moment of Clarity Track’ claiming “If skills sold, if truth be told I’d probably be lyrically Talib Kweli”
