A brand new night from Wahalaa co-founder Tshaka Ballantyne, inspired by Ariapita Avenue in Port of Spain, Trinidad - the city's main turnup spot.
We’re bringing the magic to the Jago, a 2-floor hidden gem in East London unlike anywhere else. Come through to make new friends and wine up your waist to a mix of the most danceable music from the Caribbean, Africa and Latin America: Afrobeats, Soca, Dancehall, Reggaetón, Dembow, Francophone Afro, Ndombolo, etc.

Venue / On the Night
The Jago is the historic Passing Clouds building under new ownership and management. It is 5 minutes walk from Dalston Junction and Haggerston overground stations. The venue has a big downstairs room with a stage and dancefloor and a beautiful refurbished upstairs bar with seating and a second dance floor. The downstairs room is accessible on the ground floor.
We are operating a zero tolerance policy on harassment and discrimination.
COVID Safety
Although the return of full capacity shows is here, there are precautions we can take to keep each other safe and comfortable.
We will be operating a slightly reduced capacity in order to keep sufficient airflow and space (those who attended the last Wahalaa will remember how packed it was!)
There are hand sanitiser dispensers throughout the venue, please make use of these.
We recommend that people take a lateral flow test or NHS PCR test 24-48 hours in advance of the event. You can get these free from a chemist or order them online from gov.uk.
Please do not attend the event if you test positive, are feeling unwell, or have any COVID-related symptoms. In this case, we will refund your ticket so you do not need to worry about buying in advance.
