Description

“Neither brutality, nor cruelty nor torture will ever bring me to ask for mercy, for I prefer to die with my head unbowed, my faith unshakeable and with profound trust in the destiny of my country, rather than live under subjection and disregarding sacred principles." - Patrice Lumumba

Greetings one and all, are you ready to go forward with the courage and fearlessness of Lumumba? There is no room for compromise when it comes to freedom and justice for Congo and our role as consumers of the technology industry is key to the independence of the Congolese. This event is just one of many ways to explore what we can do so carry on reading to see what we have in store for you....

Artist
Yet again we are to be blessed with the presence and skills of this artist. Her artwork is vibrant and really speaks volumes! Come along and she her join the performers on stage as she does live art - literally painting a vivid picture from each word spoken and sung....

What do you get when you cross sweet melodies, clever word play, honest delivery and subject...? Miss Sade that's who? Another singer and songwriter who will be gracing you with her presence is this wonderful performer who's talent is in another dimension - such sweet melodies deserve an award so get ready to give a massive round of applause...

More details are to come re presentation however......

There's the awesome vegan banquet lovingly made by Emma Ako, if you wanna share in the delight of the delicious, nutritious and healing treats then turn up on time to grab a plate because once it's gone it's gone! It's only £3 too so no excuse not to join in....

So as usual, it gives me great pleasure to announce that some of the money raised on the night will go towards the Panzi Hospital and Foundation in Eastern Congo. These vital funds go towards supporting the tough work of Dr Denis Mukwege - founder of this safe haven for many - nurses, training more nurses, medical equipment, beds, hospital extensions, the foundation which has an orphanage and an education centre which teaches the women everything from basic maths to economic empowerment and social equality.
