Randy Valentine

This multi-talented versatile singer-songwriter/producer hails from the Tropical Isle of Jamaica
and is currently under the umbrella of ‘Hemp Higher’ and ‘J.O.A.T’ (Jack Of All Tradez)
productions. Also going by the moniker ‘RV’, the ladies just can’t get enough of him
Randy Valentine’s career has been growing from strength to strength since the release of his
successful mixtape “Bring back the love”. Europe’s New Reggae Sensation has been
spreading his music all over the continent. Hundreds of dubs have been voiced for the top
European, American and Japanese sounds whilst songs and videos have been released by
the dozen.
In 2012, Mr. Valentine toured Costa Rica and Panama supporting one of Dancehall and
Reggae’s biggest artists – BUSY SIGNAL. The tour proved to be a huge success for Randy,
catapulting him onto a brand new platform, on which he could voice his talent, and build up a
solid international fan base. To add to his repertoire, Randy has also opened for the likes of
BUSY SIGNAL, DEMARCO, MR VEGAS, US R&B Sensation, LLOYD from YOUNG MONEY
and toured Austria alongside fellow rising Reggae star, Cali P.
Citing ‘the foundation’ music as one of his main sources of inspiration, Randy released a onedrop
mixtape, where he sang over 13 tracks – all built upon classic STUDIO ONE Riddims,
such as “Stalag Riddim”, “Bobby Babylon Riddim”, “Lecturer Riddim” and more
Hence, on the 1st of October 2012,’ Bring Back The Love’ was introduced to the world. The
mix-tape, mixed by Switzerland’s finest, ‘Straight-sound’ became an instant hit with fans, from
the Caribbean to Japan, commanding 800 downloads on its first day of release. The online
viral video acquired over 1000 hits on its day of release and has been praised by some of the
top UK Reggae heavy-weights – such as Choice FM’s Natty B and Veteran DJ, Commander B
Nuff sell out them soul, fi get radio play” – Randy bore his soul on every track on his ‘Bring
Back The Love’ mix-tape, and its title track is being played on major radio stations both in the
UK and abroad.
The official “R V-LUTION SUMMER TOUR 2013″ started early May with more than 20 shows
in more than 10 different European countries to date. The tour saw Randy and Straight Sound
Perform at several biggest festivals alongside some of Dancehall and Reggae’s biggest
talents like CHRONIXX, SHAGGY, CHRISTOPHER MARTIN, GAPPY RANKS, BLACK
CHINEY SOUND, TOMMY LEE and many more. October saw a fitting end to the tour with
an exclusive Central American performance in Nitro-City, Panama where Randy headlined
the Action sports resort’s Mudfest Halloween Party alongside DJ Chiquidubs.
His EP Break The Chain was guaranteed to be one of the most anticipated reggae projects
from out of Europe for the summer of 2014 and once it dropped proved that this young artist
has more than a bright future in this industry. Break The Chain went on to top several
European Regage itunes Charts and amassed top 10 chart placements in over 15 countries
worldwide.
His Still Pushing EP, which is set to be released in May 2015, is also highly anticipated and
as it has been produced by the Legendary ARIWA stable, critics and fans await with eager anticipation.
