After 2 sold out shows in 2014, Aswad return this summer as part of The Jazz Cafe’s 25th Birthday celebrations.
Originally formed in 1975, Aswad became one of the UK’s top Reggae acts thanks to early hit’s ‘Warrior Charge’ and ‘Three Babylon’. It was 1988’s ‘Don’t Turn Around’ that saw ‘The Lions of Ladbroke Grove’ claim their first UK number one. The band continued their assault on the pop charts with classics such as ‘Shy Guy’ and ‘Shine’, as well as picking up an Outstanding Contribution MOBO award on the way.
