Got Soul Sundays: Special Guest from NYC: Millie Gibson - 17th Nov

November's edition of our Neo Soul Lounge night is an exciting one as we've got two special guests...

Millie Gibson (Show 9pm)
Millie Gibson is an Alternative R&B artist currently based in New York, NY. Her soulful sound combines synths, keys, guitar, and rhythmic percussion while enticing a touch of modern-style jazz to carry out a heavy instrumental groove. Millie's songs consist of stories told of personal experiences, love/heartbreak, and self-worth.

Millie released her Debut EP, ‘Own Drum’ in June 2022. Since Millie’s EP release, she has performed her music across NYC and London, UK, including a live recording of her original song, ‘Raw’ while also opening up as a support act for the artist, Ego Ella May, all produced by Woodburner Music. Millie released her brand new single, ‘Ripple’ this past October 2024, which is now available across all media platforms.

DJ, Mentor, Turntablist, Promoter, and Vinyl Collector. E Double D has won two national DJ mix competitions. He has DJ’ed for acts feat. Foreign Exchange, Dwele, Tall Black Guy & Zo to name a few.

Entry is FREE with registration (limited entry times so first come, first served).

Entry is FREE for the first 50 people and you can expect the usual vibes that Got Soul became known for across the globe.

ABOUT GOT SOUL
Got Soul started as a DJ centred, Neo Soul lounge brand that took place every Sunday at Juno Bar(Shoreditch) between 2009 and 2016. It then moved to South Place Hotel(Moorgate) where it ran weekly up until March of 2020 when the first covid lockdown took place. It was the perfect laid-back setting ideal for those wanting to wind down after a busy week and chill on a Sunday evening.Music policy is Neo Soul, Soul, Rare Groove, Soulful HipHop, Independent R&B & Alt R&B.

Remember, this is a lounge however 2-stepping and singalongs are always welcome and expected 😉.
