Marvin Gaye was truly one of the greatest soul singer-songwriter to have been. Rising in the Motown era throughout the 1960s and 1970s, he made successful popular music, whilst also using his reach to spread a powerful and political message. He produced his own records and often addressed controversial themes. He is often referred to as the Prince of Soul and died aged 44 on 1 April, 1984.
A Night of Marvin Gaye pays tribute to the Prince of Soul with a full live band performance of his greatest hits, from Whats Going On to Let's Get it On...just how Marvin, himself sang them!
