Word on the Street is where Hip Hop and Rap, fuses with Spoken word and Performance Poetry. We have merged these two worlds together with the intention of bringing our audiences amazing live performances, filled with outstanding lyrical content in an ambient and intimate setting. Come and sit in our candlelit, comfortable space and enjoy a lovely meal or a glass of something nice, while seeing some of the finest talent in the world of Hip Hop and Poetry. Between live acts DJ Shorty will be spinning some mellow, chilled out Hip hop vibes at a speak easy level to provide the perfect backdrop as you talk and meet with like minded people. Additionally, we both an open mic segment hosted by Kingpin and Shay D as well as our book club during the earliest part of the evening where we encourage open discourse around Hip Hop related texts and give everyone the platform to express themselves.
