OUR HEADLINERS!

Tony D

Tony D is considered a veteran in both the British batte rap scene and the UK underground hip-hop scene. Former Don't Flop Champion, Tony successfully defended his title three times before giving it up. He has battled the biggest names in the battle rap world both domestically and internationally. He was also a founding member of the legendary group 'Poisonous Poets'. The group also consisted of Lowkey, Doc Brown, Reveal, Stylah, Therapist and DJ Snips.

Dekay

You may remember Dekay from our last event, the winner of Chester P's Freestyle Trial! Dekay will be returning to perform a whole musical set for us!

Dekay is a member of freestyle crew Act on Words and has become one of the highest viewed battlers in Europe due to a string of Don't Flop performances.

A lifelong writer and performer, she has independently released ten albums
(available at dekay.bandcamp.com).

Due to perform this June at the European Parliament with other freestyle artists to encourage young people to vote, previous performances include a tour of Russia, a freestyle advert for Footlocker, a Ted Ex talk on freestyle, battling on the BBC 1Xtra stage at Reading festival and a musical documentary which has aired on Sky and London Live.

Jamal Khan

Jamal Khan is an award-winning writer & performer whose work beautifully tackles significant issues ranging from gun crime to mental health. In January, Jamal won the Mayors Youth Social Action Award and was invited to perform at the City Hall in front of an audience made up of politicians and young professionals. In the coming months, Jamal will be releasing his debut book ‘Words Within Walls’ which is a collection of diary entities, short stories and poems from the journals that Jamal kept whilst serving a prison sentence.

The Grey Dog

At every event we promote a mental health organisation to raise awareness and funds for their work. This event will be our third fundraiser for The Grey Dog.

Thank you to every one that has bought a ticket to one of our Grey Dog fundraisers in the past. We have now reached our £1000 target! We couldn't have done that with out YOU!

The Grey Dog Trust has been set up with the aim of tackling stigma attached to mental health and opening up the conversation amoungst young people.

The first part of their strategy is to put on a free entry music festival.
