We have another amazing line up for you, and as always, all for a great cause. Our chosen orgainsation this time around is FerArts:
FerArts is an artist led, non-profit organisation, curating collaborative exhibitions, developing community projects and supporting emerging creatives and artist management at 0% commission.
We promote urban art and photography from artists influenced by UK street culture through innovative concept shows and platforming creatives 18-30
As active artists we follow and share a social ethos of crediting artists for their work with #TAGITDONTOWNIT and thrive in building inspiring networks within the art scene to support getting artists paid #INVESTINART
All funds from ticket sales and any donations will go towards supporting FerArts in taking young people affected by the Grenfell Tower Fire on a 7 day photography retreat to Morocco, home to many of those who passed away in last years tragedy.

Awate
Awate is a rapper and producer from Maiden Lane Estate in Camden. Honing his craft from the age of 12, he made a name for himself at the legendary hip-hop spot, Deal Real at the age of 15. As a refugee from Eritrea via Saudi Arabia, Awate's lyrics are a complex train of thought on subjects like self-esteem, racism, pride and class.

Sophia Thakur
Sophia Thakur can grip an audience. Any audience, from Glastonbury, to the Royal Family, to the Ted Talks audience to her online audience, she has connected, inspired and empowered millions of listeners and watchers over the years. Her messages on self-love, racial injustice, relationships and female empowerment have been documented by the likes of MTV, Viacom, BET and even Nike. A voice and feeling of a generation, oozing through Sophia Thakur.

Usaama Minhas
Usaama Minhas is a poet, rapper and actor. Usaama started writing in his teens and later spent a year in New York on an actor training conservatory for Theatre, Film and TV. While in New York, he began performing at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe and the Pyramid Club. On returning to the UK, Usaama moved to London to pursue a career in Hip Hop. In 2013, he released the Hand in Hand EP, a self-produced album combining Rap music and Spoken Word poetry. Later that year, Usaama won the 'Britain's Got Bars' Rap Battle Tournament at French Montana’s show at the indigo at The O2, sharing the stage with Lady Leshurr and Ghetts. Usaama was long-listed for the Outspoken Prize For Poetry 2017 and 2018, and he was the April 2017 winner of Kat Francois's WORD4WORD poetry slam and the May 2017 winner of the Genesis Slam. Usaama is the 2017 Hammer and Tongue Hackney Slam Champion and the 2018 Hammer and Tongue National Slam Champion. He recently released the 'Forgot About Rap' mixtape and is currently writing a book and recording new music, while he continues to travel and perform his poetry.

Mind Over Matter is an independent project which aims to break down stigma attached to mental health and widen the conversation by discussing it through Hip Hop and Spoken Word Poetry. We host spirited, powerful events showcasing the best of up and coming talent as well as established artists from the worlds of Spoken Word and Hip Hop, for us to come together and discuss the difficult realities of mental health.
