Description

Experience extraordinary new field day where music and food will weave together into an exhilarating weekend in the heart of Croydon, one of Britain’s exciting and vibrant boroughs in partnership with Croydon Council. The Ends Festival will be the spotlight of the summer calendar in 2019, taking place in Lloyd Park in South London, Croydon from the 31 May 2019 – 02 June 2019.

Closing the three-day festival on Sunday will be Reggae royalty Damian Marley.

A GRAMMY award nominated, roots-reggae musician, singer-songwriter, humanitarian, Damian Marley certainly continues in the same tradition as his father - Reggae legend Bob Marley. His second album, Halfway Tree, won him a Grammy for Best Reggae Album, and with Welcome to Jamrock, he became one of the stars of 21st century Jamaican music.

Joining Damian Marley on Sunday will be J Balvin, Nao and Masego.

With hits such as “Mi Gente ft. Beyoncé”, “X ft. Nicky Jam”, “I Like It ft. Cardi B & Bad Bunny” and “Familiar ft. Liam Payne” Latin Grammy Award-winner J Balvin joins the stellar line-up. Dominating global radio and streaming waves, J Balvin dropped his critically acclaimed album Vibras, which put him at the forefront of the burgeoning Latin sounds coming out of the Americas.

Nao, the British R&B and soul singer boasting a unique funk sound, who recently released her sophomore LP, Saturn – the 13-track project about personal growth, new beginnings, self-reflection, and self-discovery will also be bringing her unique style and sound to Lloyd Park. Having recently sold out O2 Academy Brixton, NAO proved she is a master of range and showed her vocal prowess, effortlessly dancing circles around her contemporaries.

U.S. “TrapHouseJazz” singer Masego, will deep dive into hip-hop’s jazz roots whilst blending with his signature saxophone giving The Ends Festival a smooth Sunday.

Following the release of her debut EP, South Londoner, and Brit School graduate Jaz Karis whose luscious vocals that travel between the soundscape of soul, jazz, and hip-hop joins Sunday’s line-up. Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter Burna Boy will head to Croydon to perform hits ‘Sekkle Down’, ‘Ye’ and ‘Rock Your Body’. Closing the festival on Sunday, Croydon FM and The Compozers will join Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Reggaeton regular J Balvin, British R&B and soul singer NAO and U.S. “TrapHouseJazz” singer Masego.
