“One of rap’s most prominent women MCs” – Allmusic, “One of hip-hop’s most skilled female MCs” – How to Rap
The first lady of Busta Rhymes’ Flipmode Squad, Rah Digga first learned how to rap by studying the likes of KRS-One, Rakim, and Kool G Rap of the Juice Crew. She worked with hip-hop group Twice the Flavor before joining the Outsidaz, leading to a feature on the track ‘Cowboys’ from the Fugees legendary album The Score. She was spotted by Q-Tip at the Lyricist Lounge which led to her meeting with Busta Rhymes and later appearing on a number of his albums. Having been nominated for a number of BET and MTV awards over the years, we are delighted to welcome the queen of rap Rah Digga to our stage. Opening the show will be fast rising lyricist Shunaji, whose most recent EP Blue Melon was released to critical acclaim.
