Word on the Street is going to be 3 years old!
We are so excited that we have continually created a space for poets, rappers and lyricists to perform their works, network whether first timers or pros.
We were one of the originators of merging the world of poetry and rap, hip hop to grime, and inspired many other events to be created! Come and see the vibe we are so famous for!
We showcase HEADLINE poets, always a RAPPER and a POET, live DJ on the night playing UK rap, neo soul, hip hop and just all round good vibes. we have a beautiful open mic segment for anyone who wants to sign up and perform, 3 mins each, acapella and if you rather a beat, our rap cypher POPS OFF where the DJ SPINS INSTRUMENTALS and MCs take the mic spray and pass it on!
