For one night only, Touch Magazine & Mobile Mondays present D-influence live. D-Influence built a reputation as the UK’s liveliest live band in the 90s, opening shows for Prince, Michael Jackson, James Brown and En Vogue and their single ‘Good Lover’ remains a summer Acid Jazz anthem.
At a time when UK Black music was slept on by the mass media, Touch Magazine was the original social media, giving a much-needed visual platform to the people, sounds and culture of the underground Black music scene. DJ support for this very special night comes from Touch Magazine DJs JM and Jaimie D’Cruz alongside Mobile Mondays DJs Maura Miller and Billy Biznizz whose legendary sets include an infectious blend of soul, funk, boogie, disco, house, hip hop and reggae spanning the 80s to the present. Join us for a night of “spirited inclusion and raw soul”, from D-Influence and friends for those who were there, along with a new generation of fans looking for the original bassline vibes of the UK underground.
