Characterised by Rolling Stone magazine as 'the best kept secret of '70s soul', American soul and R&B singer-songwriter, producer and instrumentalist Leroy Hutson is best known as former lead singer of R&B vocal group The Impressions.
As well as his contribution to The Impressions, Hutson is co-writer of Donny Hathaway’s masterpiece, 'The Ghetto'. With a series of stylish, critically-acclaimed albums that he recorded throughout the '70s, Hutson has been responsible for creating his own musical style and sound that have made classics of his works, which have continued to be sampled by renowned talent including Erykah Badu and rappers Too Short and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
Hutson debuts the Hall stage, performing a very special show with his Magic Makers Band. Support comes from USA R&B and pop songstress Sheree Brown.
