Botown – The Soul Of Bollywood
Doors: 18:00 | Last Entry: 18:45
Botown is not just a band; they're a cultural phenomenon. This super-tight ensemble of multicultural musicians takes Bollywood grooves and infuses them with a soulful funk twist, creating an electrifying musical experience like no other. With their magnetic stage presence, Botown seamlessly blend the allure of Bollywood with the irresistible charm of soul music.
Audiences can anticipate a dynamic repertoire featuring beloved hits by iconic artists such as RD Burman, Asha Bhosle, AR Rahman, Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Alisha Chinai, and many more, all delivered in a fresh and innovative style that redefines familiarity.
Botown's signature mash-up sound encompasses a rich array of instruments including drums, percussion, dhol, a vibrant horn section, guitar, bass, keyboards, and captivating male and female vocals. This eclectic mix takes listeners on a transcendent journey from the soulful streets of Memphis to the vibrant landscapes of Mumbai.
Described as "Bollywood's best-loved anthems given the 'Shaft' treatment," Botown captivates audiences with frontman Ajay's emotionally charged Hindi singing, resonating with raw passion and authenticity. Their performances are not just concerts; they're experiences that leave an indelible mark on all who witness them.
Prepare to be dazzled and entranced as Botown transports you to a realm where the spirit of Bollywood meets the soul of funk, creating an unforgettable fusion of music, culture, and pure entertainment.
As acclaimed by The Daily Express, "Botown infuses Bollywood's classics with a 'Shaft' treatment, with frontman Ajay's Hindi vocals bursting with raw emotion."
