A musical journey honouring the enduring magic and legacy of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle.
For over seven decades, the voices of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle shaped the soul of Bollywood music, giving life to the purane gaane that continue to live on in our hearts.
From tender romantic melodies and soulful ballads to playful, expressive classics, their songs became the soundtrack to generations and defined the golden era of Hindi cinema.
As sisters with two distinct yet complementary styles, Lata and Asha created an unparalleled musical legacy. Lata’s purity and emotional depth stood alongside Asha’s versatility, rhythm and bold expression. Together, their voices brought to life some of the most iconic moments in Indian film history and continue to inspire audiences across the world.
This live performance celebrates their timeless repertoire through a carefully curated selection of beloved classics, paying tribute to the playful, expressive brilliance of Asha Bhosle while honouring the emotional depth and elegance of Lata Mangeshkar.
Led by powerhouse vocalist Abira Shah, daughter of acclaimed singer Sitara Shah, a disciple of Malika-e-Tarannum Noor Jehan, and supported The 515 Crew Live band, the evening brings to life the warmth, elegance, and emotion of the golden era, reconnecting audiences with songs that continue to resonate across generations.
